Mary Longnion, Principal

I am originally from Southern California, found my way to Gilbert after attending ASU, and have been happy to make a home for my family here. I have had the honor of serving my entire career within GPS, working at Greenfield Junior High, Canyon Valley, Campo Verde, Greenfield Elementary, and now Global Academy, and love working with students of all ages and backgrounds.

Global Academy offers "anytime, anywhere" learning opportunities for students in grades 7-12 to help personalize their education. We work in partnership with our junior high schools to offer concurrent enrollment and with our high schools to offer students a chance to be online full-time, part-time as a concurrently enrolled student, or within their day at the brick-and-mortar high school. We have courses for students needing flexible learning options whether they are on track, accelerating their high school career, or just a bit off track.

Our vision at Global Academy is to help students find an approach to high school that works for them while providing high-quality, rigorous courses that are commensurate with the learning at our brick-and-mortar campuses. I am passionate about being a principal and I love the opportunity to work with students and families as we support them on their way to graduation. It is so exciting for all of our staff when we get to share in this moment and see our students "ring the bell" when they have completed their high school journey.
